SENIOR LUNCH
Help plate and serve lunch to our FAB seniors on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Irwin Community Center. Call LeeAnn Fisk at 708-957-PARK.
FAMILY FUN FEST
Help set up or clean up for this annual July 4th event at Izaak Walton Woods, or volunteer to run one of the many games or activities. Contact Keith Jones at 708-957-0300.
STARRY NIGHTS CONCERT
Help out summer nights at our annual concert series taking tickets, handing out brochures or entertaining the crowd. Contact Pam Melnyk at 708-957-0300.
PARK PRIDE DAY
Help beautify and ready your neighborhood park for summer on the first Saturday of May. Contact Pam Melnyk at 708-957-0300.
5K RACES
Help with registration, sponsorships or guiding runners around the race track at our seasonal 5K races: Apollo 5K in May, Run for Freedom in July, Flossmoor 5K in September and the ButterBall Burner in November. Contact Josh May at 708-799-1323.
HAUNTED HOUNDS
Help with canine games and contests at this free annual October event at Rover's Run Dog Park. If you are under 16, you must pair up with an adult to volunteer. Contact Shannon Olison at 708-957-0300.
GREAT DOG EGG HUNT
Help stuff and scatter eggs, take photos with dogs at this annual spring event at Irwin Park. If you are under 16, you must pair up with an adult to volunteer. Contact Shannon Olison at 708-957-0300.
YOUTH TENNIS PROGRAMS
Help younger kids learn to play tennis and enjoy a new sport at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club and in the summer at area parks. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and hold a driver's license. Contact Sylvia Gothard at 708-799-1323.
TENNISFEST

BIRTHDAY PARTY HOST
The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District is looking for an organized, dependable and initiative-driven individual to execute the setup, operation, and take-down for birthday parties hosted at the district's facilities.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL SITE DIRECTOR
The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District seeks a motivated, creative, and experienced Director for the districts before school care program, AM Club. The Director must possess 2+ years of experience working with school-aged children and is responsible for planning and implementing daily activities for a group of 20-40 school-aged children. Possible daily activities include arts and crafts, athletic games, cooking, science experiments and other school-aged enrichment activities. The Director is also responsible for leading and directing AM Club staff and communicating with the school staff and parents on a regular basis. Ideal candidates should possess a degree in Education, Recreation or related field.
Program dates and times:
M-F, January 4-June 6 - 6:45 a.m.-8:30 a.m.

BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL RECREATION LEADER
The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District seeks motivated, creative, and experienced staff for its before and school care program AM Club and Extra Innings. Staff are responsible for leading a group of 20 – 40 school-aged children through daily after-school activities. Other responsibilities include communicating with parents during drop-off and pick-up and supporting the Site Director with new activity/planning ideas. 1+ years experience working with children strongly suggested. Enrollment in a college degree program in education, recreation or related field is highly desirable.

M-F, January 9-June 6 - 2:45-6 p.m.

Girl’s Basketball Staff
H-F Park District seeks reliable individuals to work on the girl’s basketball staff. The athletic assistants shall be responsible for refereeing, scorekeeping, timing, and/or assist in the instructional phase of basketball where needed. High school student and at least 16 years of age. Must have knowledge of basketball. Part-time, $8.25/hr starting.

Facility Maintenance Supervisor
The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District seeks a Facility Maintenance Supervisor at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club. Must have experience planning, directing, motivating and supervising staff, along with strong mechanical, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, pool operation and facility cleaning skills. Experience in health club, racquet club or school setting preferred.

H-F ICE ARENA
HOCKEY INSTRUCTOR WANTED
Instructor is needed to teach hockey development classes at H-F Ice Arena. Saturday mornings and early afternoons. Instructor must work well with children and be comfortable talking with parents. Instructor must be self driven, creative and able to work with other instructors if needed. Pay $10-$15/class
Requirements: At least level 1 CEP (or ability to acquire level 1), player experience and ability to skate well. Must own skates, helmet and gloves. 18 years or older

IRONS OAKS environmental learning center
CHALLENGE COURSE SUPERVISOR
Irons Oaks is currently seeking to fill the part-time position of challenge Course Supervisor. The supervisor is responsible for adventure education program instruction and the coordination of challenge course maintenance and repair. Other responsibilities include scheduling of groups, training, and organization of supplies and equipment. This position is year-round with 25-35 hours per week based on seasonal needs. Candidate must be available to instruct programs at varying times during the week including some evening and weekends. Salary range $14-$20 per hour. Application deadline: 10-10-2011.
