SENIOR LUNCH
Help plate and serve lunch to our FAB seniors on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Irwin Community Center. Contact Jodi Gosse at 708-957-PARK.
FAMILY FUN FEST
Help set up or clean up for this annual July 4th event at Izaak Walton Woods, or volunteer to run one of the many games or activities. Contact LeeAnn Fisk at 708-957-0300.
STARRY NIGHTS CONCERT
Help out summer nights at our annual concert series taking tickets, handing out brochures or entertaining the crowd. Contact LeeAnn Fisk at 708-957-0300.
PARK PRIDE DAY
Help beautify and ready your neighborhood park for summer on the first Saturday of May. Contact Pam Melnyk at 708-957-0300.
5K RACES
Help with registration, sponsorships or guiding runners around the race track at our seasonal 5K races: Apollo 5K in May, Run for Freedom in July, Flossmoor 5K in September and the ButterBall Burner in November. Contact David Thommes at 708-799-1323.
HAUNTED HOUNDS
Help with canine games and contests at this free annual October event at Rover's Run Dog Park. If you are under 16, you must pair up with an adult to volunteer. Contact Melissa Rimdzius at 708-957-0300.
GREAT DOG EGG HUNT
Help stuff and scatter eggs, take photos with dogs at this annual spring event at Irwin Park. If you are under 16, you must pair up with an adult to volunteer. Contact Melissa Rimdzius at 708-957-0300.
YOUTH TENNIS PROGRAMS
Help younger kids learn to play tennis and enjoy a new sport at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club and in the summer at area parks. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and hold a driver's license. Contact Sylvia Gothard at 708-799-1323.
TENNISFEST
Help organize, set up and facilitate this annual tennis event, held for two weeks in July at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club and outdoor tennis courts. Contact Sylvia Gothard at 708-799-1323.

RECREATION DEPARTMENT
A.M. Club Before School Program Site Director
Days: Monday-Friday (School Year Only)
Hours: 6:45-8:45 a.m. & varying hours on half- & full-days off of school
Location: Heather Hill School
Starting Pay: $10/hour
Application Deadline: Wednesday, Aug. 4
The Site Director is the on-site supervisor for 15-20 children in grades K-5 and 1-2 staff members during the before school program. Before School Site Directors are responsible for maintaining a safe environment, planning activities such as games and crafts, communicating with parents and encouraging staff. Experience working with children, excellent customer service and problem solving skills are required.
Extra Innings After School Program Site Director
Days: Monday-Friday (School Year Only)
Hours: 3-6:15 p.m. & varying hours on half- & full-days off of school
Location: Flossmoor Hills School
Starting Pay: $10/hour
Application Deadline: Wednesday, Aug. 4
The Site Director is the on-site supervisor for approximately 15-30 children in grades K-6 and 1-2 staff members during the after school program. After School Site Directors are responsible for maintaining a safe environment, planning monthly activity calendars, implementing activities and games, communicating with parents and encouraging staff. Experience working with children, knowledge of games, excellent customer service and problem solving skills are required.
A.M. Club & Extra Innings Before/After School Program Recreation Leaders
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 7-8:45 a.m.; 3-6 p.m. or 3:15-6 p.m. / half- & full-days off of school
Starting Pay: $8.25/hour
Application Deadline: Wednesday, Aug. 4
Recreation Leaders work with the Site Director to enhance enrichment curriculum and monthly recreational calendars. Lead activities with 20-30 children at a time. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who have knowledge of games, crafts and sports.
Kindergarten Adventures After School Program Recreation Leader
Days: Monday-Friday
Hours: 1:30pm-3:30pm or 1:30pm-6:00pm / half- & full-days off of school
Starting Pay: $8.25/hour
Application Deadline: Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010
Recreation Leaders work with the Site Director to enhance enrichment curriculum and monthly recreational calendars. Lead activities with 10-25 kindergarten-aged children at a time. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who have knowledge of games, crafts and sports.
