Conveniently located in a park setting in the heart of Homewood, the Irwin Center has a friendly staff, clean and modern facilities, room set-ups, ample parking and more.

All rentals must abide by Homewood-Flossmoor Park District's rental policy. A copy of the policy is provided with the rental contract.

Room Descriptions
The Irwin Community Center is one of Homewood-Flossmoor Park District's primary recreational facilities.

It features a variety of unique rooms such as large multi-purpose rooms, a physical activity room and a kithcen. Audio-visual materials are available for an additional rental fee.

Upper Level Rooms
Large Multi-Purpose Rooms: This area can be subdivided into four separate meeting rooms or one large multi-purpose room. Ideal for social activities such as dinners, luncheons, weddings, dances, meetings and lectures. CAPACITY: Each Room/45, Multi-Purpose Room/160.

Kitchen: The kitchen is designed to accommmodate cooking classes and provide a food preparation area for the large multi-purpose room. CAPACITY: 10

Activity Rooms: Activity Rooms I and II are used for the Park District's Preschool classes. General-purpose programs and meetings will be held in this room if all other space is filled. CAPACITY: 30-35/room

Lower Level Rooms
Physical Activity Room: Exercise, fitness and high-energy programs are held in this room. CAPACITY: 100

Multi-Purpose ROom: This newly remodeled room is ideal for social activities and meetings. CAPACITY: 60

Club Room: This room is used primarily by community groups for meetings. CAPACITY: 25-30

Gazebo Rentals
The Irwin Center is located on the grounds of Homewood-Flossmoor Park District's Irwin Park. This six-acre park features a gazebo perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies, wedding portraits and family get-togethers.

The gazebo may be rented in three- and eight-hour time blocks. All park amenities (playgrounds and ballfields) are open to the general public. There are no restrooms available.
