ACTIVE ADULT & SENIOR COORDINATOR

As the former Senior Services Associates Inc. Activity Director for their McHenry office, I had the pleasure of bringing seniors their leisure through programs & activities for many townships. Serving senior leisure needs for the past 5 years I have found my Master’s in Recreation Administration from George Williams College of Aurora University & my Bachelor's in Business Management from Eastern Illinois University to be very helpful. Now as the new Senior Coordinator at the Irwin Center, I am delighted to bring my newfound experiences and ideas to the Homewood-Flossmoor Active Adult & Senior groups. The passion I have for choosing this profession is beyond a few words. I find the older generations to have a true compassion for life, a real respect for others, and a genuine quality that cannot be found anywhere else. Thanks for welcoming me back!

This recreation committee meets the first Wednesday of every month at the Irwin Community Center.

Are you an active adult looking for activities and personal enrichment? Join in the fun at the FAB Adult Center located at the Irwin Community Center, 18120 S. Highland Ave., Homewood. A varied schedule of activities is provided each week to help meet your social, fitness and leisure needs. There are no membership fees, and all active adults are invited to participate!

Noon @ the Irwin Community Center
Break up your busy day with a relaxing, catered lunch at the Irwin Community Center. The social scene starts around 11:30 a.m. with lunch served at noon. Hang out until 1 p.m. for a movie, informative speaker or games. To reserve your seat, be sure to call 708-957-PARK by noon on Friday for Monday’s lunch or Tuesday for Wednesday’s lunch. Cost is only $3.75/resident or $5.50/non-resident.
